Located beside the River Esk, one of Scotland's greatest salmon rivers, lies Esk Cottage. Set within the tiny village of Bentpath, this charming detached stone cottage provides a peaceful retreat with wonderful views over the Eskdale hills. Warm and inviting, it has been furnished and equipped to a high standard. There is a cosy sitting room with  a wood-burning stove in a traditional fireplace. The soft furnishings are a tasteful reminder that you have crossed the Border.

Ewes Water Log Cabins

An incredible place to visit at any time of the year with three log cabins overlooking the river Ewes, and a magnitude of beautiful wildlife and scenery to be spotted on the doorstep. You will find them on the outskirts of Langholm just a 20 minute drive to Gretna Green, 30 minutes to Carlisle or around one hour's drive will take you to Edinburgh, Glasgow or the Lake District.

There is salmon/trout fishing on the private Burnfoot beat by prior arrangement.
